Visakhapatnam: Chartered Accountants and Tax Practitioners of Visakhapatnam expressed their solidarity with the ongoing agitation for Samaikyandhra. The forum said that the unilateral decision of bifurcation of the State, without taking into account the interests of all regions involved has taken its toll on the people’s confidence and trust in the system.
The fraternity of Chartered Accountants and Tax Practitioners have expressed their concern on the economic impact of bifurcation of the State. The imbalances in various regions and financial distribution would lead to impairing growth and prosperity of the State and all stakeholders, the forum opined.
It was unanimously resolved to hold protests, contributing to the social cause. To express their anguish, they planned protests from August 26 to 31. During this week, the Chartered Accountants and Tax Practitioners will not be appearing before any Tax Authority, will not upload any tax returns, or co-operate in handling any transactions with the government like payment of taxes. Chartered Accountants and Tax Practitioners of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Anakapalle, Kakinada and Rajahmundry would also join the protest on all these days.
