Hanamkonda: Communist Party of India (CPI) leadership is gearing up for the party’s three-day state conference to be held in Hanamkonda from November 28 to 30, aiming to reconstruct the party in the wake of districts reorganisation.

The party national general secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, national secretary K Narayana, state secretary Ch Venkat Reddy, state leaders and delegates from 31 districts of the State will attend the event.

As a prologue to the conference, a meeting of the party state executive will be held on November 27, to discuss the policy decisions to be taken at the event.

On November 28, the conference will be inaugurated by the national general secretary Sudhakar Reddy at Hotel Haritha Kakatiya in Hanamkonda.

On November, 29 day-long debates will take part on State and Centre policies and on measures needed towards the party reconstruction in Telangana. In the evening, elections will take place to elect the new state committee, informed the party state executive member T Srinivasa Rao.

A massive public meeting with 25, 000 public and party cadres will be held at Government Junior College grounds in Hanamkonda on November 30.The district leaders here have engaged in conducting campaigning for the success of the conference.

Activities like wall writings, putting up wall posters, taking out rallies and door to door visits, collecting donations to meet the conference expenses, meetings at mandal level are being conducting, Srinivasa Rao told The Hans India.

The conference has assumed importance as the State and Central governments led by TRS and BJP respectively, have been adopting anti-people policies since they came to power. The welfare of SC/ST/BC and minority sections is being neglected, Srinivasa Rao alleged.

The family rule by the TRS in the State and pro-corporate policies of the BJP at the Centre have made the life of the common people miserable. For instance, the lopsided approach in banning Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes made life troublesome for the poor and middle class sections, he explained.

The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who promised to unearth black money has introduced Rs 2,000 currency and it will aggravate further black money situation. All these issues will be discussed the party state conference, he added.
