Increase SSC pass percentage

​Jagtial: ‘Every student of government school must pass the SSC examinations and the pass percentage in Model Schools also should be increased.’

District Collector Dr A Sharath directed the head masters of all Government High Schools in the district, at a meeting at Devisri Gardens here on Friday.

Speaking at the meeting, he told all the head masters to prepare report on their plan of revision of the syllabus and preparing the students for the exams.

Many poor students are joining government schools with confidence on the teachers and getting good marks in the examinations. The teachers working in government schools should coordinate with each other to keep up the confidence among the students by preparing them to perform well in the exams, suggested the Collector.

Special concentration should be laid on weak students by taking special classes, repeating the classes and by building confidence among them in preparing well for the examinations. The Collector also reviewed the steps taken to prepare SSC students for the examination at KGVB, Garshipalli and Nukapalli Model schools and advised the head masters to take steps for increasing of pass percentage of students this year.

He said that a special officer will be appointed to coordinate the teachers for taking special classes to the SSC students in the evening along with providing snacks by collecting funds from the people.District Educational Officer Venkateshwarlu was present.
