Staff crunch suffers IKP

Mancherial: The IKP centers are plagued with shortage of staff and tarpaulins, farmers alleged. They also complained that the officials at IKP centres are making them, who came to sell their paddy, to work in the centers.

The centers, while purchasing paddy have to bear the responsibility of protecting the paddy from mist by covering with tarpaulins. But, farmers at only few centers received tarpaulins. The farmers said that their tarpaulins were being used instead of the government ones.Only 41 centers out of 62 centers in the district are equipped with sufficient staff.
