The officials must take necessary steps to overcome the problems of water maintenance by increasing the capacity of water storage in the canals and to increase water supply sector in the district, he said.

Chairman of Irrigation Development Department Eda Shankar Reddy said that under Mission Kakatiya many tanks in the State were filled with water after the restoration works of tanks were completed on time.
He suggested the officials of irrigation department to maintain a record of on water supply to which ayukut at what time in the village panchayats along with the details of how much water is supplied in Kharif and Rabi seasons.
