Narsampet (Warangal Rural): Noted writer, singer and TV actor Vallampatla Nageshwar Rao called upon the students and members in the society to make efforts in promoting freedom and humanitarian values.

Nageshwar Rao addressed a gathering of students at Government Degree and PG College at Narsampet on Thursday on the topic ‘Social consciousness-personality development’. The programme was organised by Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college.

He advised the students to lend their part in alleviating illiteracy, child marriages and addressing issues like environmental degradation, besides focusing on their academic activities.

By doing so the students could evolve as matured humans, he noted.In another programme on the day, Narsampet Circle Inspector K Devender Reddy explained the students about ‘Stree Swashakti’ programme.

He appealed the girl students to attend an awareness programme on Stree Swashakti to be held in Hanamkonda on December 21 in large numbers.

The college management has felicitated the CI on the occasion. The college Principal B Chandramouli, vice- principal G Venkateshwarlu, IQAC convener Satyanarayana, NSS programme officer B Sujatha, faculty members G Gajanan, Uma Rani, Aruna Kumari, Komuraiah, Devender Reddy and others were present.
