Stop illegal constructions in SU lands, demands DSU
District in-charge of Democratic Student Union (DSU) Janardhan on Friday demanded that the government must take action against the persons, who encroached the lands of Satavahana University (SU) and to stop the illegal constructions that have been going on in the lands of Satavahana University Pharmacy College.

A meeting was held with the representatives of SU DSU unit under the leadership of the D Rajashekar here at the university premises in Karimnagar.
Speaking at the meeting, DSU district in-charge Janardhan alleged that the university lands are spread over 42 acres but due to lack of compound wall, the university lands are being encroached for the past few years.
The university officials were not taking action against the persons, who were encroaching the university lands and were constructing illegal structures, he pointed out.
The government is trying to construct business and entertainment centres along with government offices in the university lands in the name of Smart City, he criticised.
