11-day padayatra of Reddys takes off
The members of Telangana Poru Yatra, under the aegis of Reddy Ikya Vedika, launched padayatra from here on Monday. The 11-day padayatra will go via Sircilla, Kamareddy, Toopran and Medchal and culminate at Kompally, Hyderabad on October 12. Rasta roko will be organised at Kamareddy on October 6.

The leaders demanded the government for allocation of Rs 1,000 crores for Reddy corporation, sanction one gurukula to each district, monthly pension of Rs 3,000 for each farmer, who crossed 60 years age, about 10 per cent of reservation to Reddys in education and employment, a commission to study about the status of Reddys in the State and ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the farmers, who die due electric shock and snake bites.
State president Yenugu Santosh Reddy, state leader N Raja Reddy, Nizamabad district working president Karunakar Reddy, Mendora mandal leader Musku Raja Reddy and other leaders took part in the Yatra. Meanwhile, Reddy Jagruthi members from Mendora mandal headquarters participated in the programme.
