Warangal: IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao has requested the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) Commissioner Shruti Ohja to remove the flexi banners set up in the city in view of his tour to Hanamkonda on Saturday.
The Minister has also asked the corporation authorities to levy penalty on those, who have put up the flexis all over the city. It may be noted that local TRS leaders have put up flexis with their photos on them, welcoming the Minister.
A citizen named Vikas Daniel has on Friday taken the issue to the notice of the Minister on social media platform ‘twitter’, expressing concern over waste of money and questioning whether the ban the Minister ordered on putting up flexis would not apply to the ruling party.

Responding promptly to his tweet, Minister Rama Rao asked the Commissioner to remove them. Several twitter handles that followed the issue have appreciated KTR for his immediate response, while some said the flexis set up were not made of plastic but made of paper.
As some of the flexis featured MLA Vinay Bhasker’s photo, the MLA’s personal assistant on his twitter handle and WhatsApp account has clarified that the MLA was against use of plastic flexis and those welcome banners were made of paper stickers.
As u know @dasyamofficial garu himself is anti plastic promoter so his followers also do follow him, v r using paper and cloth banners only
