Peddapalli: District in-charge Collector S Prabhakar Reddy called upon the children to make use of their rights guaranteed by the Constitution. Addressing children on the occasion of Children’s Day programme held at Government School for Boys here on Tuesday, he said that 80 per cent of the schools have teaching staff and 90 per cent has infrastructure amenities. He advocated encouraging children in all spheres of activity and grooming them as good future citizens.

Regional organiser Mula Vijaya Reddy laid emphasis on children learning about culture and heritage and advised them to shine in education as well as sports. The in-charge Collector distributed prizes to the winners of mock parliament, essay-writing and elocution competitions. District Welfare officer Padmavati, DEO Venkateswara Rao, school principal Murali Naik and others participated.
