District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed on Friday ordered the officials of departments concerned to complete the construction works of CC roads and Gram Panchayat buildings by December-end.
Karimnagar: District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed on Friday ordered the officials of departments concerned to complete the construction works of CC roads and Gram Panchayat buildings by December-end.
The Collector chaired a review meeting with the engineers of Panchayat Raj department along with the officials of departments concerned to discuss about the works that were allotted under Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme here at his chamber in the Collectorate in Karimnagar on Friday.
Speaking at the meeting, District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed said that CC roads were sanctioned to almost all the villages present in the district.
The ongoing works must be completed by the end of December and those which are not yet started must begin immediately and should be completed by next year March, along with maintaining quality in the works, he ordered.
The Collector said that about 50 Gram Panchayat buildings were sanctioned in the district. The construction works of the panchayat buildings which are under progress must be completed by the end of December, ordered the Collector.
Pointing out at gram panchayat buildings which are not yet started, the Collector ordered theofficials concerned to issue notices to village sarpanches to start the construction works of panchayat buildings within 15 days or otherwise the gram panchayat buildings which were sanctioned will be allotted to other villages, he warned.
He asked the officials to consult the mandaltahsildar if there is any problem regarding the land availability. If the land available is less, the collector suggested them changing the plan to constructG+1 building by submitting the proposal for approval.
DDM Ravi Babu, District and Rural Development Officer Venkateshwar Rao, Executive Engineer of Panchayat Raj Department Mruthyunjay, District Panchayat Raj Officer Narayana Rao and District Welfare Officer Sharada were present.
