A faculty development programme was organised at Vaagdevi College of Engineering here on Friday. The College Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC) in association with ICT Academy and Salesforce launched the two-day programme for the benefit of computer science engineering faculty of Vaagdevi group of engineering colleges and local colleges’ faculty.

Warangal: A faculty development programme was organised at Vaagdevi College of Engineering here on Friday. The College Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC) in association with ICT Academy and Salesforce launched the two-day programme for the benefit of computer science engineering faculty of Vaagdevi group of engineering colleges and local colleges’ faculty.

As part of the programme, Trailhead developer educator workshop with Salesforce trainers was held with the objective of helping the participants to understand the essential skills required to develop applications on Salesforce developer platform, informed the IIIC coordinator Ch Raju.

The faculty members after the completion of this training could educate the students and encourage them to complete badges, which would help the students for career opportunity. Salesforce is an American cloud computing company headquartered in San Francisco, he said.

The ICT Academy was offering services to faculty members and students of Vaagdevi College of Engineering in the areas of Information and Communication Technology. About 60 faculty trained by Salesforce. Vaagdevi College of Engineering Principal K Prakash delivered keynote address. Salesforce technical trainer Kumara Murali made power point presentation for the faculty on admin essentials, salesforce platform basics, data modelling, data management and others.

ICTA Telangana state head N Amarnath, Prof SSVN Sharma, convener and head of department V Janaki, FDP coordinator K Pavani and other staff were present. The college secretary and correspondent Ch Devender Reddy, AO Ch Satyapal Reddy appreciated the programme organisers.
