Ganja worth 9 lakh, two-wheeler seized

The Enforcement officials seized one two-wheeler and 58 kg ganja near Gurjal village of Gandari mandal on Tuesday. According to Assistant Enforcement Officer Nanda Gopal, on a tip off the police waited near Gurjal to arrest Santosh, who was transporting 58 kg ganja worth Rs 9 lakh. But, the accused fled the place leaving his bike and ganja.

Nanda Gopal said illegal cultivation and transportation of ganja is punishable. DIFF Sayanna, Deepak, Madhu Babu, Sub-Inspector Sravanthi and other Enforcement staff took part in the raid.
