Different Christian denominations in Warangal planned ‘United Mega Christmas Celebrations’ in the city on December 15. Bishops, Udumala Bala of Warangal Catholic diocese and John Markandeya of Alpha Omega Ministries have informed the presspersons here on Wednesday that the celebrations will take place at Public Gardens in Hanamkonda at 5 pm.
Hanamkonda: Different Christian denominations in Warangal planned ‘United Mega Christmas Celebrations’ in the city on December 15. Bishops, Udumala Bala of Warangal Catholic diocese and John Markandeya of Alpha Omega Ministries have informed the presspersons here on Wednesday that the celebrations will take place at Public Gardens in Hanamkonda at 5 pm.
The celebrations are being oranised under the aegis of the community leaders of Catholic, Pentecost, Baptist, Church of South India (CSI) and independent churches in the city. The united Christmas celebrations are being conducted for the past five years to spread the message on the importance of birth of Jesus Christ, they said.
All the public, irrespective of religious affiliations, are welcome to join the celebrations, the Bishops said and appealed the Christians and members of other communities to attend the celebrations in large numbers and make it a grand success.
Similarly, a ‘Christmas Mega Rally’ will be taken out on December 19 at 1 pm from Jan Peerlu area in Warangal to Kazipet railway station, informed the rally convener E Kiran and co-convener reverend P Anil and V Vinay of Tri-cities Christians Forum (TCF).
The rally will pass through Venkatram Junction, Pochamma Maidan, MGM Junction, Mulug Cross Roads, Hanamkonda Chowrastha, Public Gardens and Subebdari before reaching Kazipet, they noted. The community leaders K Vijay Kumar, S Bala Showry, Vijay Paul, P Joseph, John Mark, Damodar David, Fatima Cathedral Parish Council president DL Reddy and secretary R Rajamohan Rao are present.
