Colourful celebrations mark KITSW silver jubilee batch reunion
The KITSW Alumni Meet and Silver Jubilee Batch (1992 graduated) Reunion was celebrated in a colourful and jovial manner on the premises of Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW).
Warangal: The KITSW Alumni Meet and Silver Jubilee Batch (1992 graduated) Reunion was celebrated in a colourful and jovial manner on the premises of Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW).
About 110 alumni of 1992 batch, of which 26 former students settled in United States of America and 15 others settled in different countries, have joined the celebrations and recollected their student days at the college. The event was organised jointly by the KITSW management and KITSW Alumni Association. Akula Rajith Kumar, KITSWAA president and Hyderabad-based IYuga Consultancy Services CEO, on Friday said that the association has got 10,100 registered members.
Speaking at the alumni meet, he promised to help the institute to establish sophisticated facilities for the benefit of the students at the college. The association has been developing technical and innovative skills and training students through command centre and offering scholarships to poor students of KITSW.
Rajith Kumar told the budding engineers to train themselves in core engineering subjects from the beginning of B Tech course, succeed in their lives in any field, which they have chosen. He appreciated the management, faculty and staff for achieving constant growth. An alumnus of KITSW and its ex-principal Prof K Ashoka Reddy said they were thankful to the management for the quality education offered to them to excel in their lives. The alumni feel proud to be associated with the institute, one of the top three private engineering colleges of Telangana.
Rajya Sabha member, the college secretary and correspondent V Lakshmikantha Rao expressed pleasure at the college students, who were now a part of leading companies all over the globe and for having bright careers. “The students are our energy and motivation for us,” he added.
The institute director Y Manohar noted that the students were being trained towards development of soft skills, technical skills, leadership qualities and self-confidence. The support of alumni has been playing an active role in conducting seminars, training for teachers and students on latest technological issues.
KITSW treasurer P Narayana Reddy, principal Prof P Venkateshwara Rao, faculty in-charge (alumni affairs) O Anjaneyulu, dean administration Prof P Ramesh Reddy, executive members, deans, faculty, staff and 250 alumni from across the globe were present.
