Jogu Ramanna walked for a distance of six km from Allampalli to Rampur and noted the movements of the animals. Later, he asked the forest officials to submit a report on the census of carnivorous and herbivorous animals in Kawwal Tiger Reserve.

The Minister spent two hours in the forests and issued several guidelines to the enumerators. He was accompanied by Field Director Sarvan and Udumpur and Beersaipeta forest rangers.

The animals use the route travelled by bullock-carts, humans and others.

The animals would be identified through direct and indirect methods of enumeration. The enumerators identified the excreta of leopard, bison, bear, fox and wild dogs and documented them in the mobile application on Monday.
