Holding a review meeting with the officials and temple authority here on Tuesday, the Joint Collector D Amay Kumar said that the comfort of the devotees is paramount to them. He directed the Panchayat Raj and R&B officials to take up the repairing works of road leading to temple with immediate effect. This apart, the JC focused on ensuring availability of drinking water to devotees and the temporary queue lines near Raja Gopuram. He instructed the officials to demarcate parking lot on the banks of Godavari.
Sanitation staff needs to work in three shifts from February 12 to 15, he said, stressing the importance of cleanliness. He told the officials to illuminate the temple and the road leading to Godavari.
Amay Kumar told the RTC officials to run special buses during the festival. The Police Department was told to deploy adequate force especially women constables. He suggested the Medical and Health Department to deploy its staff. The DPRO was told to arrange cultural programmes.
District Revenue Officer P Mohan Lal, CPO D Komuraiah, DSP Raja Mahendra Naik, RWS Executive Engineer Nirmala, Kaleshwaram Sarpanch Madhavi and Temple Executive Officer Srinivas were among others present.
