Finance Minister Eatala Rajendar said that he has been witnessing a gradual change among the women from the past few years. These days women were not confining to houses and elevating their talent in all fields. The Minister participated in the International Women’s Day celebrations held at LMD Colony of Thimmapur mandal on Wednesday.

These days women were not confining to houses and elevating their talent in all fields. The Minister participated in the International Women’s Day celebrations held at LMD Colony of Thimmapur mandal on Wednesday.

Speaking on this occasion, Rajendar said any State or country will prosper where women were respected. The TRS government had introduced several welfare schemes for the women. After seeing the plight of women, who treks miles to get a pot of water, the government had launched Mission Bhagiratha to supply drinking water to each and every household, he added.

For poor pregnant women, the government has introduced KCR Kits scheme along with sanctioning Rs 2,000 to those, who go for daily wage works. The government has sanctioned Rs 12,000 per month to pregnant women, for three months before and after delivery for their expenses.

The Minister stated that no other State government in the country has increased the salary of Anganwadi teachers like that of Telangana government. She Teams and tight police security were arranged for the women, who work in late hours. Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy suggested that women should help each other and must be brave to lead their lives.

Many welfare schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak were introduced by the State government for empowering women and make them to live with respect and honour. “It is our responsibility to prevent social evil - female infanticide. Each and every woman must be educated and must be given balanced and nutritious diet,” she added.

MP B Vinod Kumar, MLC Naradasu Lakshman Rao, Chairman of Cultural department Rasmai Balakishan, Karimnagar Zilla Parishad Chairperson Tula Uma, Thimmapur ZP Chairperson Padma Ekanatham, Former MP Gundu Sudhanagar, District Welfare Officer Sharada, Child Protection Officer Parveen and Karimnagar Assistant Commissioner of Police Usha Rani were attended in the celebrations.
