Jagtial: District Collector Dr A Sharath said the SSC examinations that started on Thursday are going on peacefully across the district. He visited the examination centres at Old High School, Government Girls High School and Goutham High School and inspected the arrangements that were made for the convenience of students appearing for SSC examinations in Jagtial.

Speaking on this occasion, the Collector said that this year about 13,261 SSC students are appearing for the examinations, out of which 6,773 were boys and 6,888 were girls. About 250 SSC students, who failed in previous SSC examinations, will appear for examinations this year, including 166 boys and 84 girls.

About 68 examination centres were established across the district and all necessary arrangements like dual desk benches, tube lights, drinking water and toilets were made. 144 section was imposed in the areas near the examination centres and tight police security was also arranged to prevent any untoward incidents.

The Collector suggested the students to write the examinations whatever they had learnt without any fear. Several motivational programmes were conducted for SSC students to perform well in the examinations along with conducting special classes and digital classes. “This year we are expecting better results compared to previous year,” the Collector said.
