Bhupalpally Collector sets deadline for piped water supply
District Collector D Amay Kumar said that all the habitations in the district will get protected drinking water by April 15. The Collector, who inspected Mission Bhagiratha works at Royyuru in Etur Nagaram mandal on Wednesday, instructed the officials to speed up the works so that piped water will be ensured to all the households before the summer peaks.

Later speaking to the officials and contractors, he said that Mission Bhagiratha is one of those prestigious projects the government had taken up. “Bhupalpally is one among many districts where drinking water problem is perennial. Hence, it’s time for the officials and contractors to take it as a challenge and ensure water supply by deadline,” Amay Kumar said.
Apprised of some hiccups with the R&B wing, the Collector spoke to the officials concerned and directed them not to meddle with the progress of the works. ITDA project officer V Chakradhar Rao and Mission Bhagiratha DE Sandhya were among others present.
