Adilabad: Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that the State government is trying to uplift all sections of the society. Distributing fodder to the beneficiaries of sheep units at Devapur under Talamadugu mandal on Tuesday, he said that administration has so far grounded 4,220 units of the total target 4,323 units sanctioned for the district.

“In all, 88,620 sheep have been distributed to the beneficiaries,” Yadav said, directing the officials to ground the remaining units at the earliest.Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna said that apart from sheep scheme to Golla and Kuruma communities that brings 75 per cent subsidy to the beneficiaries, the government has also introduced several schemes that cover 90 per cent of SC, ST and BCs in the State.

“Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao floated a separate corporation for the Most Backward Classes (MBCs) allocating Rs 1,000 crore to help the financially backward communities. The impetus is also on to provide skill development to these sections,” Ramanna said. State Sheep and Goat Development Corporation (TSSGDC) chairman K Rajaiah Yadav, State Dairy Development Corporation chairman Loka Bhuma Reddy, Boath MLA Bapu Rao and District Collector D Divya were among others present.
