Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao on Monday returned the cheque of Rs 1.09 lakh to the government, which he received under the Rythu Bandhu scheme for his land in Konaraopet mandal, through his messenger. On behalf of the Governor, BJP Konaraopet mandal president Surender Rao handed over the cheque to District Collector Krishna Bhaskar.

Sircilla: Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao on Monday returned the cheque of Rs 1.09 lakh to the government, which he received under the Rythu Bandhu scheme for his land in Konaraopet mandal, through his messenger. On behalf of the Governor, BJP Konaraopet mandal president Surender Rao handed over the cheque to District Collector Krishna Bhaskar.

This apart, Governor’s son Vikas Rao and son-in-law Devakonda Sunil Kumar also returned their cheques valued at Rs 26,000 and Rs 24,000 to the government. It’s learnt that Governor requested the government to utilise the returned money for the implementation of Swachh Bharat.
