The APNM was entrusted with the campaign work of Government schemes recently; and this has become heartburn to the DAU. There were no major propaganda programmes to highlight the welfare and developmental programmes of the Government during the last four years, said Singarapu Janardhan president of DAU speaking to The Hans India. Most of the district artistes were living in abject poverty for lack of proper employment. Now the Government is planning to entrust works to APNM from April 5 to 14 in the district ignoring the DAU, he said According to reliable information, CPM backed artistes belonging to APNM would be performing for 10-days in all 12-Assembly segments in the district taking the information on Government schemes to poor. The poor artistes belonging to DAU who are left jobless were eking out their living working as daily wage earners mostly working in the agricultural sector. President of DAU said that they would aggressively fight the injustice. G HEMANTH REDDY
