wardenWardhannapet (Warangal): A 12-year-old boy studying at a private school has suffered grievous burn injuries when the warden of the hostel allegedly poured boiling water on him. The incident has reportedly taken place at the hostel of Harihara Tejomayi IIT Foundation situated at Padmakshigutta area in Warangal. The school is located near Arepally on Mulugu road on the outskirts of Warangal. The boy called Chunchu Sudhir, studying in 7th class, belongs to Ontimamidipally village of Vardhannapet mandal in the district. On April 2, 2013 when he felt hungry he asked the hostel warden Ch Swaroopa to serve him some food and she told him to wait for some time. The boy, who was famished, again went to the kitchen and asked the warden to feed him. An irked warden poured boiling water, in which the rice was cooking, on the boy causing severe burn injuries. The warden Swaroopa happens to be the wife of the school's correspondent Ch Raju and hence the management of the school has managed to prevent the information regarding the incident leaking out to the outside world. They confined the boy to the premises of the hostel and did not allow him to speak to his parents. However, the incident came to light when the parents of the boy came to the hostel on Wednesday to take him to their home for Ugadi festival. They were shocked to see burn injuries on back of the body of their son, who then narrated the entire sordid episode to his parents. Following which, the parents lodged a police complaint against the school management at Hanamkonda police station.
