Health camp at MaxCare hospital today

Warangal: Noted plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Sumita Shankar is conducting free consultation and awareness programme at MaxCare hospital here on Sunday. The programme was aimed at educating women and girls on various problems related to their breast health and related disorders. Speaking to press persons here on Saturday, she said many women were not aware of the breast disorders and often got confused in choosing a proper treatment. The women mainly know about breast cancer, even though there were many disorders such as nipple inversion, sagging breasts and others which might affect the shape and functionality of breasts among women. As a result they face several issues including marital problems, Dr. Sumita Shankar explained. She said most of the disorders could be corrected with minor surgeries that were affordable. In order to address such issues yearlong free consultation camps were being organized across the State as part of social responsibility, she said. The tour began on March 8 marking the International Women's Day. Dr. Sumita is credited with conducting about 300 breast surgeries and has an experience of 12 years. Those intending to have expert consultation regarding their problems might consult her at the MaxCare Hospital from 8 am to 2 pm on Sunday in Hanamkonda. The hospital CEO T Mohan Rao was also present.
