Warangal: Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader K Taraka Ramarao has called upon the party cadre to show their might in the ensuing gram panchayat elections and win majority of seats.

He asked the party workers to take the elections seriously and visit every village in the district and strengthen the party at grassroots level. 'The elections are very crucial for Telangana movement as well as for all the future elections,' he added. Addressing a party district executive meeting here on Sunday, the TRS leader said that a notification would soon be issued for the elections and hence each worker of the party has to take the election 'prestigiously' and work for its victory.

'The CM who bought the directors and stage managed cooperative elections has sent a report to UPA chief Sonia Gandhi claiming defeat of TRS and Telangana sentiment,' he said. This election result should wake up the Congress leaders at the Centre, he said and advised the party workers and leader to move among the people and spread the party ideology. Through collective efforts wonderful results could be achieved, Mr. Taraka Ramarao stated.

Referring to the Telangana Congress leaders' Telangana Sadhan Sabha held in Hyderabad on Sunday, he said none in Telangana would believe in Congress anymore. MLAs Dr. T Rajaiah, M Bikshapathi, D Vinay Bhasker, former MP B Vinod Kumar, former ministers V Lakshmikantha Rao and Kadiam Srihari, T Ravinder Rao, Aroori Ramesh and Acha Vidyasagar were present.
