5-day Internship Science Camp for Inter students

Warangal: Kakatiya University zoology department is organising the five-day INSPIRE Internship Science Camp 2013 from June 18-22, 2013, for the students who passed SSC and joined Intermediate. Students who scored 9.0 GPA in SSC or 90 percent marks are eligible to take part in the event. The university vice-chancellor Prof. B. Venkat Rathnam, addressing the press conference in Warangal, said Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) programme is intended to motivate young students towards research in science and technology and to shape them as scientists. The science camp comprises lectures by eminent subject experts in botany, zoology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and geology besides practical lab training. A field visit to NIT Warangal and Kakatiya Medical College are also included in internship, he added. The panel of resource persons of the programme includes Prof. P P Nageshwar Rao of ISRO, Dr. Narahari Shastri, Prof. U.S.N. Sastry of IICT, Prof. P. Govindarajulu from University of Madras, Prof. N. Sathyanarayana of National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Dr. Sujatha Stephen, chief nutritionist, Suman Sayani Psychologist of Aware Global Hospitals and professors from Osmania University. A certificate will also be given to the participants, said the INSPIRE convener Prof. M. Krishna Reddy. A campaign poster and study material of the programme were released on the occasion.
