help1Warangal: Moved by the plight of thousands of JEE-2013 aspirants and their companions during the last test, several philanthropists are coming forward to offer accommodation other assistance to the students arriving here to appear for JEE-2013 test on April 7. Already, almost all hotels and lodgings were booked about a month ago. It was a similar situation last year also and thousands were seen resting at public places and women were particularly inconvenienced a lot due to lack of toilet facilities. Against this background, good Samaritans have taken it upon themselves to provide some succour to the visiting multitudes of people. The district administration's lack of efforts is very much conspicuous, notwithstanding assurances by top officials that the last year scenario would not recur this time. Hanamkonda-based Shiridi Sai Devasthanam has announced that it can provide shelter to around 300 persons. They would be accommodated at the temple's Kalyanamandam near Sridevi Mall. Sai Devasthanam trust chairman Matukumalli Haragopal informed that those interested may register for accommodation, by contacting trust member Nimmala Srinivas on mobile: 9949709866 between 9 am and 5 pm. "We have been getting calls from different parts of the State. We wanted to do our part to support the students and their parents in view of the large numbers of visitors coming for the test" said that trust members. A senior Congress leader Nayini Rajendar Reddy under the aegis of Nayini Rajender Reddy Foundation has planned to provide accommodation for the students and also offer assistance through helpline centres. "We want to support as many students as possible who have been coming here with lots of aspirations about their future. Free accommodation will be provided" he told The Hans India here on Monday. "We are employing volunteers to display wall posters at all key junctions with helpline centre numbers and addresses of examination centres" informed Rajender Reddy. Separate accommodation for girls would be provided at District Library near Public Gardens Hanamkonda for this the students could contact the following numbers: 7893212030 and 9949595189. Arrangements were also made at Tara Gardens and Mayuri Gardens near NIT Warangal for accommodating boys. Those seeking accommodation may call the following numbers: 7386194200, 9390110497, 8522018030 and 9866211134. The foundation was also involving auto-drivers and giving them the addresses of the examination centres for easy transportation of students to their respective examination centres in tri-cities, Reddy said. It was also being contemplated to provide break-fast to the students and parents on the day, he added. In addition to the organizational support, several individuals have also doing their part. For instance, a degree college lecturer Sunitha and her husband Prof Gangadhar Reddy have planned to accommodate about 40 students at their residence. "Our daughter attended coaching for AIEEE in Hyderabad and her classmates are taking test here and we decided to extend hospitality to them", they said.
