Housewife gets Rs 2 lakhs in Vodafone contest

Warangal: A housewife from the district turned lucky and won Rs 2.03 lakh cash prize in a contest conducted by noted mobile phone operator Vodafone. A resident of Jubilee Market in Kazipet, Matta Satyavathi won the prize from Vodafone as part of its 'customer connect initiative' called 'Car Mahotsav Competition' held in September 2012 at national level for 60 days.A As part of the contest, participants were rewarded on daily and weekly basis on answering some simple general knowledge questions and Satyavathi was selected as the lucky winner from Andhra Pradesh. Since she opted for cash prize instead of owning a brand new Hyundai Eon, she was presented with a cheque for Rs 2, 03, 000 by the Vodafone team here on Thursday.A The weekly prizes of Vodafone included gold vouchers, LDC TV, Home Theatre, Camcorder, mobile phone, iPod among others. Delighted at the gift Satyavathi thanked the Vodafone. "I enjoyed participating in Vodafone's Car Mahotsav Competition and winning this is a dream come true for me. I thank Vodafone India for giving me this once in a lifetime opportunity and for making my relationship with Vodafone such an enriching one" she said speaking after receiving the cheque at a special ceremony at Vodafone Store at near LB College in Warangal.
