Speakers stress on regular blood donation

Warangal: Speakers stressed making Warangal district with enough blood stocks and see that there is no shortage of blood to cater to meet the requirement of the needy patients. Addressing a meeting to coincide with the World Blood Donation' Day, speakers emphasized that blood donation gives new lease of life to the scores of patients and urged eligible people to make blood donation a habit. NSS volunteers of AVV Junior College unveiled giant size of a model of blood drop to mark the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, AVV College Secretary Chanda Vijay Kumar urged the healthy people to periodically donate the blood for the needy patients. He asked for greater awareness on the subject among the youth and particularly college students. NSS programme officer K Sreenivasa Rao lauded the efforts of NSS volunteers in creating awareness among people. Dr PCN Prasad said that blood donation is the best donation one can offer. Raghavender Reddy, Raghupati, Venkatesh, Divya, Kavya, Shruti, Rajesh, Dattatreya and others were present.
