pol2Warangal: Vijayanaama Ugadi was celebrated at various places in Warangal district on Thursday. Many of the devotees thronged A the local temples to get the blessings of the presiding deities for a new A and happy beginning on the occasion of the A Telugu New Year day.

Ugadi Pachadi was made with the blending of six ingredients - Neem flowers, jaggery, green chillis, salt, tamarind juice and mangoes. The famous pudding like Bakshalu were made and offered to the guests.A Rudreshwara Swamy temple also called as 1000-pillars temple and Bhadrakali temple attracted good number of devotees.

1000-pillars Head Priest Gangu Upendra Sarma revealed predicted that there is mixture of good news accompanied by some turbulences.A As this newyear, Vijayanaama begins with some bad happenings. On the agriculture front it would benefit farmers.

Telugu New Year was celebrated for the first time at district Collectorate. Joint Collector P S Pradyumna, NPDCL CMD Karthikeya Mishra, DRO Patnam Sheshadri, DRDA Project Officer Samudrala Vijaya Gopal, DPRO Venkataramana and other officials participated in offering the prayers after Ganapathi Puja.

Veda Pandits recited Panchanga Pathanam followed after the Puja. Here too, political instability was predicted at state and Centre. It was said that confusion on the political future would continue further. Ugadi Pachadi and Bakshalu were offered to the guests and devotees by Gangu Upendra Sarma.
