Warangal: The political activity in the district is picking up heat in view of the ensuing gram panchayat elections. The top leaders of different political parties are arriving here to boost up the morale of their respective party cadre as the parties have taken the gram panchayat elections in prestigious manner. Training classes and sammelans are being held even as the election commission has to announce the schedule and issue notification. Telangana Rashtra Samithi has already conducted a training programme for its cadre a couple of days ago. Similarly the YSR Congress Party is organising a `Panchayat Sammelan' on July 3 at Hanamkonda where the party honorary president Y S Vijaya Lakshmi is scheduled to address the party workers followed by a public meeting to be organised at Maripeda mandal head quarters. Likewise, Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu is arriving here on July 7 to attend a day-long training programme to be held at Bishop Beretta High School in Kazipet. The party MLAs Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Reuri Prakash Reddy and Seetakka, the party district president A Baswa Reddy and others have on Tuesday met Warangal Diocese Bishop Udumala Bala seeking his permission to make use of the school premises. Speaking on the occasion the party leader Dayakar Rao informed that about 20, 000 important party workers and leaders are invited for the programme. Meanwhile, newly appointed district collector G Kishan has held a review meeting with the district officials. He directed the officials to strictly adhere to the election code of conduct and to ensure smooth and fair conduct the polls.
