Warangal: A lucky and bumper draw for the subscribers of the newspaper with a difference, The Hans India (THI) was held at a glittering ceremony at its office located at Kapil House at Subedari in Hanamkonda on Monday. Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha was the chief guest on the occasion. Other guests who participated in the draw included deputy transport commissioner Chandrasekhar, Kapil Group president U Krishna Mohan, noted writer and columnist Ampashayya Naveen, T JAC employees chairman Paritala Subba Rao, and TNGO’s district president K Rajesh Kumar Goud.

Addressing the gathering, Ms Kalvakuntla Kavitha said that The Hans India rightly focused the difficulties and injustices done to Telangana people. Saying that English papers reach the global readers through internet, she felt proud that entrepreneurs from Telangana are associated in the management of the paper. With likely T state formation, she urged the editors to focus on the reconstruction of Telangana.

Thanking the Editor-in-Chief K Ramachadra Murthy and Editor PNV Nair for fulfilling the aspirations of T through great write-ups and objective and balanced editing, she said that more and more youngsters were reading the paper as it inspires them to take challenges on the academic or career front.

“The Hans India respected the self respect of Telangana readers and experimenting with supplements like the YOUNG HANS, 6-days in a week is refreshing,” said deputy transport commissioner Chandrasekhar. With the historic turn of events on the anvil in Telangana, the paper had a great role to play, he added.

Noted writer and columnist Ampashayya Naveen saw the increase in reader base among women for the paper in the recent past. He said that many writers and intellectuals have preferred the paper for exposure of the all issues including the global scenario.

Kapil Group president U Krishna Mohan said that though the paper is critical on the issues of public importance, but never sensationalized the contents in its presentation. The scientific and technological news along with YOUNG HANS would cater to the younger generation, he revealed.

T JAC employees chairman Paritala Subba Rao said that the paper reaches people of Indian origin through internet edition and added to it, the columnists write great analytical stories which keep the readers glued to The Hans India. NGO’s leader Rajesh Kumar Goud found the language in the paper easy as he saw the employee segment was subscribing for The Hans India. He thanked the editors for clarity in its presentation of employee issues.

The Hans India branch manager Bandi Ravinder explained the transparency in conducting the lucky draw. He said that its readers are empowered with information on all the issues debated locally, nationally and even on global issues. Earlier, Staff Reporter G Hemanth Reddy welcomed the gathering and Principal Correspondent James Edwin was present.
