Warangal: TRS politburo member and district in-charge Peddi Sudershan Reddy demanded stalling of all the recruitments taking place in the government and semi-government bodies in the state and also in the district. Alleging that outsiders were getting selected for the posts meant for Telangana, he questioned why the recruitment at this juncture when the process for T formation had begun.
Addressing the media in Hanamkonda, he said that a lot of injustice was done to Telangana region in the job recruitment across Telangana districts including in Hyderabad. Under the circumstances it is better to start recruitment process after 4 months.
Specifically targeting the recruitment process at A P Grameena Vikas Bank (APGVB), TRS activists held dharna at its central office in Ramnagar in Hanamkonda under his leadership and said the whole exercise was aimed at avoiding local candidates.
It may be recalled that for 119 scale-I (officer) posts and 81-office assistants posts the interviews were slated. The APGVB recruitment body after the written test had called the candidates in 1:2 ratio for the interviews. However, after the protests by TRS, APGVB chairman Laxman Rao assured Sudershan Reddy that they would postpone the whole recruitment process for a later date.
