This doctor grooms personalities

Dr Kiran Chakravarty Sumanth has started ‘Umanng Consulting and Training Centre’, which trains youth in soft skills and grooming in personality building. The ‘Umanng’ team gives them confidence to face the world. She has created and choreographed several beauty pageants and fashion shows. Satrang Fashion Fiesta was a recent show created and choreographed by Dr Kiran Chakravarty Sumanth.

Umanng consulting and training centre grooms and trains not only the youth but also home makers in soft skills and personality development. The aim is to make these people confident enough to pursue their dreams. Kiran also gives opportunity for the economically underprivileged students and ladies to be able to develop their soft skills and confidence and realise their dreams. She has created and choreographed three beauty pageants and fashion shows in Secunderabad. One of the winners of a beauty pageant has even got a break in a south-based film.

She is motivated to give a platform to the youth of Hyderabad and the families of defence services to showcase their talent. She is an Army officer’s daughter and an Air Force officer’s wife. Kiran says, “I feel great pride to be a part of the armed forces family. The defence services have been giving the best to the show biz world. I will continue to motivate and encourage the youth and homemakers in Hyderabad to pursue their dreams.”

‘May Queen Pageant’, ‘Autumn Pageant’ and several fashion shows at premier clubs of Secunderabad and Hyderabad have been held by Kiran. She says, “Three girls got a break as models and one girl who was one of the title holders of my ‘Autumn Pageant’ has got a break in a South based film.”

Kiran’s Pageants are conducted in an elaborate format. Initially talent is identified by means of introductory tests for general knowledge and general awareness. Later the participant is inducted for personality grooming, styling and communication skills. Next, they are trained for self video introductions. Further, they practice catwalk with Indian wear, western wear and casual wear. They are made aware of the advantages of bonding and team work. Most importantly they emerge as confident individuals who have dispelled stage fear. These are the training aspects which are showcased in the grand finale of the beauty pageant.

The centre has counsellors who take interest in under privileged students and women. Regular classes are held for them. Homemakers are encouraged to be self confident which also helps their family to be better equipped to face challenges. “Aspiring youngsters are trained in communication skills including basics and importance of grammar while speaking. Personality development includes confidence building and body language. Corporate etiquette includes training for interviews, etiquette and power dressing.”

Kiran feels, “As women are the fulcrum of a family their confidence level is imperative for the image building of the family. Umanng consulting and training centre prepares women to be the tensile strength of the family.”
