Excerpts:

What inspired you to choose Tennis?
I had a zeal for tennis since my childhood. I would observe people around me playing this sport and have seen famous players like Sania Mirza which inspired me; who inspired me.

Did you face any challenges to achieve your dream?
I sacrificed my entire life to pursue a career in tennis. I am a hard worker and never gave up on anything. My only desire is to be a world champion soon. I have been lucky enough that my parents encourage and support me in all the aspects of my life and I am very grateful about it.

Achievements:

Gold medal in the XXII National Games of the Deaf held from December 1 to 6, 2017, in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
Bronze medal in the Mixed Doubles in the Deaf Olympics held in Samsun City, Turkey from 18 to 30 July, 2017.
Gold Medal in the Women’s Doubles Tennis event and Bronze Medal in the Singles Event in the Slovenia Deaf Tennis Open held at Portoroz, Slovenia from September 9 to 11 September, 2016.
Bronze Medal in the Women’s Doubles Tennis event, 8th Asian Pacific Deaf Games held at Taoyuan City, Taiwan from 3 October to 11 October, 2015

What are your goals?
Aiming the highest level in the game is the only goal I would want to achieve. My target is to achieve world champion title at the 2021 Deaflympics which is going to be held at Dubai.

What are the steps you take to achieve your goals?
I do not skip my practice hours. I wake up early at 4 am and start off my practice. My world is tennis.

Tell us about your training and diet?
I have a dietician, who keeps a diet plan for me. I am being trained at Bangalore by trainer Ali. My training consists of two sessions, during the morning and evening hours. I practice 6 hours a day and the schedules are usually fixed by my coach.
