STF Award For IICT Scientist. Dr B Mahipal Reddy, Chief Scientist and Head of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry Division at Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad has been awarded with the best scientist award of Science-Tech Foundation (STF), Bangalore for the year 2013.

Dr B Mahipal Reddy, Chief Scientist and Head of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry Division at Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad has been awarded with the best scientist award of Science-Tech Foundation (STF), Bangalore for the year 2013.
Dr Reddy has been selected for the award for his extensive efforts in basic and applied research which resulted in the development of novel catalysts for air pollution control, bio-mass conversion to value-added products, synthesis of fine chemicals and solar fuels, and the conversion of greenhouse gases to useful chemicals.
Some of his contributions are implemented in the chemical industry and some more are at different stages of exploitation. His outstanding research contributions pertaining to nanomaterials and green chemistry have been well recognised worldwide. STF, established in 2007, has been providing a platform to encourage innovations of scientists in the field of science and technology.
Mahipal Reddy is the author of over 220 publications in high-impact international journals, inventor of eight patents, and guided 25 PhD degrees. He is the recipient of CSIR Young Scientist Award.
