WhatsApp finally it's letting its users to add formatting to their texts. The new update now lets people turn their texts to bold, italicize it and even strikethrough them. This feature was tested in a beta version but has now been turned on for all users updating their phones on iOs and android for now. The update should automatically install and come with the version 2.12.535 for android users.

The feature however is hidden in the app and can be turned on by including certain characters only. Hence there is no function to enable it. Including symbols like asterisks around a message will result in the text being bold. Putting underscores on each side will turn it italic and surrounding it with tildes (~) will strikethrough texts.
