NTPC has organised a state level painting competitions for school children of both states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan, Secunderabad as a part of the nationwide energy conservation campaign by the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India.

Hyderabad: The habit of conservation is best introduced and inculcated at the school age. It has been seen that the children are the best agents of change and in this case we need to equip them with the information and knowledge on energy conservation and create interest amongst them on this important subject.

NTPC has organised a state level painting competitions for school children of both states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan, Secunderabad as a part of the nationwide energy conservation campaign by the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India.

The painting competition was held for school children of Class IV, V and VI with theme of "Save Watt to Save a Lot”; "Aavo Milkar Bijili Bachaye"; "Be Aware-Use Energy with Care Pragathike Baagi Ban Jaye".

While the second group which consisted of students from Class VII, VIII and IX painted on the theme, "Energy Conservation -A Smart Step Towards Smart Cities"; "Reduce Carbon Footprint,” and "Save The Polar...Go Solar".

M Mahender Reddy, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad and Prasanth Kumar Mohapatra, Executive Director, NTPC - Ramagundam, has distributed the prizes to the winners of State Level Painting Competition.
