Republic Day celebrated at GITAM
The 69th Republic Day celebrated by the GITAM (Deemed to be University) on Friday at Gandhi Square. The tricolour flag was unfurled by Prof. N.Siva Prasad, Pro Vice-chancellor of GITAM, Hyderabad with the help of Assistant Physical Director Narayana Rao.Â
Hyderabad: The 69th Republic Day celebrated by the GITAM (Deemed to be University) on Friday at Gandhi Square. The tricolour flag was unfurled by Prof. N.Siva Prasad, Pro Vice-chancellor of GITAM, Hyderabad with the help of Assistant Physical Director Narayana Rao.
The Pro VC delivered the R-Day message and appealed that ‘the youth of our country must imbibe and carry forward the ideals embedded in our nation's culture. As the architects of the future of the country, their upbringing with a value-based education is paramount in the development of their character.’
“The categorisation of nations as rich and poor developed and developing may well be overtaken by a new definition of those nations that innovate rapidly, as opposed to those which do so on a lower scale. To be in the forefront of cutting-edge technologies, research and development in all fields must be encouraged and pursued in the country” Prof. Siva Prasad added.
Resident Director DVVSR Varma, GHBS Dean& Director Prof. YLakshman Kumar, School of Technology Principal Prof. Ch Sanjay, School of Science Principal Prof. GA Rama Rao, School of Pharmacy Principal Dr. GS Kumar, T&P Director Dr. Nathi Venu Kumar, HoDs of various departments, the faculty, administrative staff and students of the GITAM were present on the occasion.
