Speaking on the occasion Lalit Babu said ''Chess in schools is a good initiative. In Europe, this game is treated as an official Olympic sport, and this culture recently started in India. I am happy that this sport is being encouraged at Pallavi Group of Schools under the guidance of Malka Komaraiah”.

I would like to see the young generation come forward to play such games and bring in more fame to the game. My next target is commonwealth chess games. I am concentrating on it'

Telangana Chess Association Secretary KS Prasad appreciated the Management for introducing chess in Pallavi International School. DPS and Pallavi Schools chairman Komaraiah assured that he is going to make chess mandatory in all DPS and Pallavi Schools from next academic year.

He said chess will help children to excel in the education.On the occassion Pallavi Chess Academy conducted series chess tournament for the children. More than 200 children participated. Abhiram Pramod, Trived, Dhanush Reddy, Namitha Menon, Sriram, Adithya Sharma, Meeth Jain, Aniketh Thakkar, Rithwik, Sruthi Tiwari, Samhitha, Bhanu Kiran Varma and Anirudh, Santosh excelled in the competition.
