Hyderabad: Dozens of neurosciences students attended the annual summer school hosted by the Department of Neurology at KIMS Hospital on May 5 and 6 in Hyderabad. This training school was organised under the aegis of Indian Academy of Neurology, Brain and Spine Society of Hyderabad.

The Summer School was comprised of a Teaching course for Neurosciences Postgraduate Students. It is held every year in different cities of India under the flag of Indian Academy of Neurology, the highest body of Neurologists in India.

The objective of the teaching course was to train Neurosciences students in the clinical skill in diagnosis of neurological diseases and in understanding the related investigation.

This training helps them not only to pass the final examination, but also to do meaningful research and excel in the practice of Neurology. The theme of the teaching course this year is “Training for exam – learning for life.”

The summer school was attended by about 200 post graduates of neurology and neurosurgery from all over the country. Lectures have been held on clinical skills, recent advances and case demonstration by more than 30 nationally and internationally renowned neurologists during the program. The two day stint has helped many young doctors to hone their skills in neurology.
