Nagappagari Lakshmana Reddy a former student from Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa has made the college proud by his accomplishments. He was awarded Ph.D. with thesis entitled “Advanced Semiconductor Nanostructures for Enhanced Photocatalytic Hydrogen Generation under Solar Light Irradiation”. 

Hyderabad: Nagappagari Lakshmana Reddy a former student from Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa has made the college proud by his accomplishments. He was awarded Ph.D. with thesis entitled “Advanced Semiconductor Nanostructures for Enhanced Photocatalytic Hydrogen Generation under Solar Light Irradiation”.

He has authored 10 research publications and co-authored 20 publications in area of photocatalytic hydrogen production and degradation to his credit in Science citation index (SCI) journals like Journal of Catalysis, ACS Sustainable Chemistry and Engineering,

International of Hydrogen Energy, Chem Sus Chem, Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Research and a review article in Environmental Chemistry Letters and presented papers in thirteen international and national conferences and he won two best poster presentation awards in international conferences and one best poster presentation award in national conference.

The research publications are on par with international level institute in India and abroad. He is one among the top-ranking research scholars in Yogi Vemana University in terms of quality, impact factor and number of research publications. As on date, he has 30 authored/co-authored publications with total impact factor of 82.09 with h-index – 7, i-10 index 6 and total citation 216.

He was awarded Bachelor of Science (Maths, Physics and Computer Science) in April 2010 from Besant Theosophical College (B.T. College), Madanapalle affiliated to Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. He has obtained Master of Science in Materials Science and Nanotechnology in April 2012 from Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa. He was 1st rank student during M.Sc., course 2010 - 2012 and won two Gold Medals namely “Sai Pratap Gold Medal” and “Y.S. Raja Reddy Memorial Gold Medal” for Meritorious Male student.

He worked as trainee in Nanocatalysis and Solar Fuels Research laboratory during May 2012 to November 2013 and applied for INSPIRE fellowship. He was selected for INSPIRE Junior Research Fellowship sponsored by DST, New Delhi and enrolled Ph.D. on “Design and development of Nano-photocatalysts for efficient hydrogen production” under the guidance of Prof. M.V. Shankar in Department of Materials Science and Nanotechnology. Later, he was upgraded to Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in July 2016.
