It was a pleasant morning indicating growth, prosperity, and hope for the people of Telangana. There is a great sacrifice behind the struggle for a new state and new lives.  The dark clouds have been drifted away on this day i.e. 2nd June 2014. The people of Telangana enjoy the fresh breeze and sense of freedom and liberty. 

Hyderabad: It was a pleasant morning indicating growth, prosperity, and hope for the people of Telangana. There is a great sacrifice behind the struggle for a new state and new lives. The dark clouds have been drifted away on this day i.e. 2nd June 2014. The people of Telangana enjoy the fresh breeze and sense of freedom and liberty.

The Telangana formation day is celebrated with a lot of pomp and gaiety in Delhi Public School, Nacharam, Hyderabad. The Principal Sunitha Rao, Nandita Sunkara, the Vice Principal1, Gowri Venkatesh, the Vice Principal 2 received a guard of honor and programme has begun with hoisting the Tricolour.

The National Anthem and the State Anthem were sung by the School Choir. Students of classes IX-XII were present for the programme. Asna and Raghav of Class XII gave a short, sweet and informative speech on the formation of Telangana state: the 29th state with 10 districts. Their speech enlightened us about the struggle the people have put, the sacrifice made by the great Telangana leaders was recollected. The Telangana movement began in the year 1959 and ended with a new state in the year 2014.

Principal reiterated on the role of a true citizen of Telangana and a true Indian. She has informed the students to express their gratitude to all their teachers who taught them right from their kindergarten. She appreciated the wholehearted participation of students in all Olympiads which brought laurels to our school to win the Best International School Award.

The Malka Komaraiah Cricket Tournament for under 12 categories was held at Bengaluru. We DPS, Nacharam have emerged as winners. D. Agasthya of class X won the silver medal in swimming. The assembly ended with the Vice Principal 1, Ms. Nandita giving a briefing on upcoming events, the Investiture ceremony and the roles and responsibilities of every student as well as the teacher.
