The estimated worth of Indian online poker market is around Rs. 700 Crore. Even celebrities and business tycoons are showing their interest in this emerging market. Recently, Raj Kundra and his wife Shilpa Shetty have launched Poker Raj, an online poker room.

When it comes to Raj Kundra, he doesn't give up easily. The founder of Viaan Industries wanted to launch online poker platform in 2016 where players could play with the likes of Minissha Lamba, Shilpa Shetty and Shane Warne.
The concept of Celebrity Games didn't last longer. Kundra added, "Unfortunately, the idea of Celebrity Games flopped because gaming partners had mixed views on how to run it. I think there's always the right time to introduce a new project."
Two years later, he feels that he has got the right one. At the same time, online gaming market in India stood at whopping $290 million, with around 120 million gamers. According to the researchers, the figures are expected to rise to $1 billion and 190 million by 2021, and cheap smartphones are the main reasons behind such a great explosion.
India already stands at second position for having highest number of mobile users worldwide (i.e. around 375 million versus 983 million in China), but it is reported that the same number would rise to whopping 470 million in the year 2021. This is the reason why Kundra will not look back.
After having tremendous success in the last two seasons of Match IPL (Match Indian Poker League), Raj Kundra is moving to the online world from the support of International Federation of Match Poker or IFPM.
According to Glaws.in, top gaming website in India, Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty are about to launch Poker Raj, an online poker room, which must be up and running till date with mobile and desktop version just after playing.

When asked about the project by Glaws.in, Kundra added, "We have been developing Poker Raj over the years and, finally, we are all set to launch one of the best poker platforms for Indian players."
Kundra has also announced his plans to launch OTPL (Online Team Poker League). But the project is supposed to have gone the best way like Celebrity Games.
