In Southampton, during a practice session at The Rose Bowl, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli had faced a minor injury on his thumb. To ease the pain, he was immediately treated by the team physio.

As per reports, sources have said that, the Indian captain is totally fit and there is no reason to worry. After being treated, Kohli continued his practice and completed the training session.

As a captain, it's the first World Cup tournament for Virat, and third one as a player. On Thursday, before gearing up for the batting session, Kohli was seen bowling in the nets.

Kohli, the No. 1 ODI batsman, has a total of 10,843 runs in 227 matches with an average of 59.57.

On 5th June, team India will be taking on South Africa for their opening game of the tournament at The Rose Bowl in Southampton.
