Pruthvi, Mihika triumph in badminton, Vignan Vidyalaya tops medal tally
Pruthvi Koka (Vidyanjali High School (Serilingampally) and Mihika Thakur of Kennedy High – The Global School (Bachupally) emerged victorious in the badminton competition of the Sports For All Championship at the Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad on Monday.

In the Under-17 Boys, Pruthvi fought back from a game down to beat Uday Teja Kuchipudi of Silver Oaks International School 2-1 (12-21, 21-12, 21-17) to win the gold .
In the Girls' contest, Mihika beat Komal Arun of Sri Chaitanya High School 2-1 (21-16, 20-22, 21-7) to clinch the gold medal.
In Boys' U-15, Sravanth Suri of Silver Oaks International School eked out a smart win over Dina Darshak Chowdary of Oakridge International School Newton Campus (Cyberabad) 2-1 (18-21, 21-12, 21-15) to bag the gold while Tanvi Kalyandurg of Bhashyam Blooms Global School reigned supreme among the girls with a 2-1 (20-22, 21-14, 21-17) victory over Jemima Koppula of St. Anthony's High School, Langar House.
In U-18 Boys basketball, CHIREC International School outclassed Meluha International School 20-8 to pocket the gold while Page Junior College won the bronze after getting a walkover.
Meanwhile, in Boys' Under-11, Delhi Public School blanked Vignan Vidyalaya 8-0 to win the championship while Oakridge International School took home the bronze after beating Phoenix Greens International School 4-0.
Meanwhile, last year's best performing school, Vignan Vidyalaya continued its dominance on the medals tally with 16 gold, 18 silver and 22 bronze.
They have a total of 208 points and are followed by The Future Kids School (Puppal Guda) with 7 gold, 2 silver and 7 bronze, with a total of 110 points.
Vignan Vidyalaya ruled in Kho-Kho, emerging victorious in both, the U-14 and U-18. In the U-18 Girls' final, Vignan Vidyalaya got the better of The Future Kid's School, winning 8-6.
Their school-mates, however, could not replicate this performance in the third place play-offs as Vignan (B) went down to Sri Gayatri School 2-8.
Similarly, in the U-14 Girls' finals, the young lasses from Vignan Vidyalaya defeated the girls from Cornerstone High School in a close encounter 4-3 to win the gold while Pranava International School took home the bronze by beating Arbor International School 1-0.
The much-awaited Athletics event began on Monday, with Mohammed Ali of Govt High School (Shaikpet) taking home the gold in the U-16 Boys' 2,000m run by clocking an impressive 7:05:63 mins.
Aravind Megavath of Railway Junior College (Mettuguda) finished for a silver with a time of 7:12:21 mins, while Vivek V of Government High School ( Film Nagar) earned the bronze with a final timing of 7:26:31 mins.
In the U-16 Girls' 2,000m, Shravani Pallapu of Govt High School won the gold clocking 10:43:89 mins, while Panipak Kitjumronen of Indus International School-Hyderabad (Shankarpally) settled for silver 10:54:51mins. Aashritha K of Sunflower Vedic School who finished the run in 11:21:35 mins and pocketed the bronze.
