The world's largest online retailer, Amazon opened a 10-acre campus in Hyderabad. This is the world's second-largest campus outside the United States which is located in the IT hub of Gachibowli. It will take care of the backend operations for the company's global business and technology teams.

 It took more than three years to construct the Amazon campus

 The foundation stone for the campus building was laid on March 30, 2016.

 Around 2,000 workers were working on the site every day for 39 months

 18 million hours were spent on constructing the new Amazon campus

 The total built-up spread out area will be more than 68 acres. Which is actually around 65 football fields

 Across 1.8 million square feet of office space, there are 15,000 work points

 It is erected on 3 million square feet of a construction area

 In terms of the total area, this is Amazon's single largest building in the world

 There are 49 high-speed elevators, which move at the speed of one floor per second

 The elevators can transfer 972 people at once to the 290 conference rooms on the campus

 There are more than 300 trees and an 8.5 lakh litre water recycling plant

 The campus also has a helipad and cafeteria which is open all-day

 Other facilities: Interfaith prayer rooms, quiet rooms, mothers' room and showers
