The Indian government is going all out of its way to create awareness about the coronavirus outbreak. In India, the Department of Telecom (DoT) is sending travel advisory to all mobile users asking them to avoid their travel to countries where coronavirus cases have been reported in high numbers. The message reads, "Indian citizens are advised to refrain from travel to China, Iran, Republic of Korea, Italy and Japan." These five countries China, Iran, Republic of Korea, Italy and Japan, have reported a maximum number of Coronavirus infected people.

From late last week, Indian telecom operators have been warning users of precautions to take to avoid Coronavirus. The pre-recorded English message says, "Always protect your face with a handkerchief or tissue while coughing or sneezing. Regularly clean hands with soap. Avoid touching your face, eyes, or nose. If someone has a cough, fever or breathlessness maintain one-metre distance. If needed, visit your nearest health centre immediately."
