Jio, Mediatek Announce Online Gaming Tournament with Pool Prize of Rs 12.5 Lakh
Reliance Jio and Mediatek are starting a 70-day esports tournament called "Gaming Masters" targeting new and existing online gaming enthusiasts in India.
Digital company Jio and Taiwan-based electronic chipmaker Mediatek are starting a 70-day esports tournament called "Gaming Masters" beginning Tuesday, the companies said. A joint note from Jio and MediaTek said that the Jio Games platform would host the game, and the entire tournament will be streamed live on JioTV HD Esports Channel and YouTube. "Jio and MediaTek have teamed up to launch '' Gaming Masters '', an esports event targeting new and existing online gaming enthusiasts in India.

This 70-day esports tournament comes just days after the successful completion of JioGames' first online gaming event: "India ka Gaming Champion," the note read.
The tournament is set up to test players' skill, teamwork, and endurance on a virtual playing field as they compete for a jackpot of Rs 12.5 lakh.
Gaming Masters will feature Garena's own-developed Free Fire, will be available to Jio and non-Jio users through the JioGames platform.
There will be no entry or participation fee for players, according to the note. Registration for all Jio and non-Jio users has already started and will be open until January 9. You can sign up for Gaming Masters on this website (link this website to https://play.jiogames.com/esports/#/). The tournament will start on January 13 and end on March 7.
